I am a creator gratefully and responsibly based in Treaty 1 territory. The Land that is the traditional Lands and waterways of the Anishinaabeg, Nehethowak, Anishininew, Ininew, Nehiyaw, Denesuline, and Dakota Oyate and the Homeland of the Red River Metis.

I have played all across Northern Turtle Island (so-called Canada), working to responsibly and respectfully engage with the Nations, communities, and Land I am hosted by.

As a Michif (Red River Métis) artist, creating in my home territory, I believe deeply and understand the value and importance of working within Indigenous worldviews to tend to and steward the Land.

As the collective global community stands at the Edge of the End of the World, witnessing ongoing climate crisis, genocides, and the rise in fascism, where can we turn to tend to what is truly important? Perhaps the Land is calling, as it always has since time immemorial.
